What You Need To Know
- Rider and Cal State Northridge are meeting for the third time, with the Broncs leading the all-time series, 2-0. The last meeting came Nov. 29, 2008 at Alumni Gym. Rider took an 85-72 win on the strength of 25 points from Ryan Thompson.
- Rider has now won three-straight games at Orleans Arena - the Broncs also won the Las Vegas Invitational Upper Division Championship in Nov. 2017. 
- Rider concludes a three-city, two time-zone, four-game road trip in which they'll cover 8,731 miles. The Broncs will continue their stretch away from home after the holidays on Dec. 30 at VCU and Jan. 3 at Fairfield.
- Cal State Northridge snapped a three-game losing skid with an 85-79 win over Southern Illinois University Edwardsville on Saturday.
- The Matadors are led by Lamine Diane at 24.3 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game. Terrell Gomez (17.7 ppg.), Rodney Henderson, Jr. (10.3 ppg.) and Darius Brown II give CSUN considerable scoring firepower.
- Frederick Scott led Rider with 17 points and eight rebounds in a 74-67 win over Northern Colorado on Dec. 22.
- Tyere Marshall posted season highs of 21 points and eight rebounds at Drake. 
- Jordan Allen matched his career-high with seven three-pointers made at Washington State on Dec. 17. Allen has now buried three or more trifectas in 24 of 41 career games played.
- Rider forced a season-high 29 turnovers against Robert Morris on Dec. 15.
- Allen displaced Stevie Jordan as the third-fastest to 500 career points in the last 26 years at Rider, reaching the plateau in his 38th game, Dec. 12 vs. Norfolk St.
- Dimencio Vaughn was named MAAC Player of the Week on Nov. 26 after averaging 19.0 points per game in a pair of victories over Coppin State and Wagner.
- Rider was picked to win the MAAC after winning the 2017-18 MAAC Regular Season Championship.
- The Broncs returned all five starters, their top six scorers and 95 percent of their scoring from last year's team.
- Seventh-year Head Coach Kevin Baggett's teams have posted a 112-94 record.
