RIVERDALE, NY – Senior Hailey Riede (Haworth, NJ/Northern Valley-Demarest) and junior Alexa Shello (Long Valley, NJ/West Morris Central) each registered 11 kills apiece to lead the Rider University volleyball team past host Manhattan, 3-0, on Wednesday evening in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) action inside Draddy Gymnasium.

The Broncs (17-9, 12-5 MAAC) won their ninth straight match, while the Jaspers (4-25, 2-14 MAAC) suffered their sixth consecutive setback. Rider won by scores of 25-16, 25-14 and 25-14 to earn their eighth MAAC victory in a row. The 12 MAAC wins are the most in a single season in program history for the Broncs.

On the defensive end, junior libero Rachelle Runyon (Aliso Viejo, CA/Aliso Niguel) had another impressive match for the Broncs with a match-high 17 digs. Senior Savannah Logan (Jupiter, FL/Benajmin) added nine digs for Rider.
