POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – The Rider University women's swimming and diving team fell to host Marist, 166-134, on Saturday afternoon in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) dual-meet action at McCann Natatorium.
The Broncs (1-3) fell to the Red Foxes (1-2) for the second year in a row.
On the day, Rider won six events.
Freshman Kyla May (Columbia, MD/Oakland Mills) won the 200 back for the second dual meet in a row, finishing with a time of 2:08.10. Classmate
Kylie McMahon (Annapolis, MD/St. Mary's) delivered another strong performance for the Broncs. She won the 100 fly at 58.99 and she also finished first in the 200 fly with a time of 2:10.57.
Freshman
Kyra Schwerzler (Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Regional) was the third Rider first-year swimmer to claim victory on Saturday. She ended up in first-place in the 200 breast with a mark of 1:07.86.
Junior
Olivia Iswalt (Reading, PA/Berks Catholic) was final Bronc swimmer to win an event against the Red Foxes. She finished first in the 50 free at 25.30.
In the diving events, junior
Meg Tomayko (Murfreesboro, TN/Siegel) and senior
Breanne Hatter (Lincroft, NJ/Middletown HS South) both performed well. Tomayko was second in the 3M event with a score of 251.77, while Hatter finished in third at 231.22. In the 1M, Hatter won with a score of 229.20 and Tomayko was fourth with a totally score of 223.50.

Rider returns to action on Saturday, November 10 with a tri-meet against Delaware and La Salle that is scheduled to get underway at 11:00 am. The meet is hosted by the Blue Hens.
