BETHLEHEM, PA – The Rider University men's swimming and diving team lost on the road to host Lehigh, 173-127, on Saturday afternoon in non-conference dual-meet action on Saturday afternoon at Jacobs Pool.
The Broncs (1-1) dropped their first dual meet of the year, while the Mountain Hawks (2-1) won their second meet in a row.
On the day Rider won seven different events, including both the 1M and 3M diving.
Junior
Justin Carey (Landenberg, PA/Avon Grove) had a strong day for the Broncs, winning three events. Carey opened his day with a victory in the 100 back with a time of 49.36. Carey finished first in the 200 back with a time of 1:51.03 and he also ended up in first-place in the 100 fly with a time of 50.14.
Senior
Lucas Musselman (Timonium, MD/Loyola Blakefield) was dominant in the 200 IM, winning with a time of 1:55.39.
Freshman
David Cooper (Spring, TX/Klein Oak) came in first-place in the 200 breast with a time of 2:11.01.
Rider got solid performances in the diving events from senior
Joseph Warker (Reading, PA/Wilson) and sophomore
Dillon Walles (The Woodlands, TX/The Woodlands High School). Warker won the 1M with a score of 298.12 and he landed in third in the 3M with a mark of 269.33. Walles continued to impress with a win in the 3M thanks to a score of 324.15 and he also came in second in the 1M at 255.60.

- Musselman won the 200 IM by over four seconds in an impressive performance.

Rider returns to action next Saturday, October 27, with a road Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) dual meet against Marist that is slated to begin at 1:00 pm. The Broncs are in search of their 12th straight dual-meet victory versus the Red Foxes after topping Marist in each of the last 11 seasons.
