PRINCETON, NJ – Courtney O'Brien scored twice in the second half as Princeton defeated the Rider University women's soccer team, 2-0, Thursday night on Myslik Field at Roberts Stadium. With the loss, the Broncs slip to 0-5, while the Tigers, who entered the match-up receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches National Rankings, improve to 5-0.
O'Brien got the scoring started in the first minute of the second half and added her second in the 58
th minute. The first goal came off the rebound of a Tatum Gee shot, while the second came directly off a Vanessa Gregoire corner.
Rider freshman goalkeeper
Carmen Carbonell (Valencia, Spain/Guadalaviar School) played the full 90 minutes in goal and made five saves.

- For the first time this season, the Carbonell played the full 90 minutes in goal. In four prior games, she and
Amy Kozlowski (Middletown, CT/Middletown) split time.
- Princeton has not allowed a goal in five games this season, outscoring the opposition, 11-0, including road wins at nationally-ranked No. 20 North Carolina State and No. 18 Wake Forest.
- Rider and Princeton played for the first time since 2005. The Tigers own a 4-1 lead in the all-time series.
