LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Amanda Binder (Princeton, NJ/West Windsor Plainsboro North), Sydney Jeffrey (Port St. Lucie, FL/Lincoln Park Academy) and Danielle Scrudato (Califon, NJ/Voorhees)  each won at both singles and doubles as the Rider University women's tennis team won its dual match opener against St. Francis Brooklyn, 5-2, Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Broncs are now 1-0, while the Terriers slip to 0-1.
 
Binder and Jeffrey paired on a No. 2 doubles victory over Isabel Castellanos and Akyi Lenjor, blanking the duo from St. Francis Brooklyn, 6-0. The Broncs took the doubles point with another win at No. 3 as Montana Morris (Horsham, PA/Hatsboro-Horsham) and Scrudato earned a 6-1 win over Runsi Patro and Andrea Rojo.
 
Binder completed her double win with a 7-6, 6-0, victory at No. 3 singles over Patro. Jeffrey completed the day without dropping a set in singles or doubles, breezing past Castellanos, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 4 singles. Scrudato (Califon, NJ/Voorhees) finished off Lenjor, 6-0, 6-1, to secure her second victory of the day at No. 5. Vanessa Canda (Jersey City, NJ/McNair Academic) also picked up a victory at No. 1, defeating Laura Dimante, 4-6, 6-3, 10-3.
