Harrisonburg, VA – The Rider University volleyball team fell to host James Madison in the finale of the JMU Tournament on Saturday afternoon. The Broncs (1-2, 0-0 MAAC) were topped by the Dukes, 25-20, 25-16 and 25-17.
As a team, Rider had 25 kills and took advantage of 14 Duke attack errors. Offensively, junior
Hailey Riede (Haworth, NJ/Northern-Valley Demarest) led the Bronc attack with eight kills, while
Savannah Logan (Jupiter, Fl/Benjamin) chipped in five of her own.
Defensively, Rider had five total blocks and 34 digs. Leading the way for the squad was
Perry Williams (Portland, OR/Cleveland) with three blocks, while freshman
Danielle Blanco (El Paso, TX/Franklin) had a team-best 11 digs.

"I thought we played well in bits and pieces today," Rider Head Coach Chris Feliciano said. "Our hitters are still getting acclimated to moving around the block. We need to focus on our team defense concept."
