What You Need To Know
- Rider and Hofstra are meeting for the 38th time, with the Pride owning a 19-18 lead in the all-time series. Hofstra has won the last three in 1991-92, 2009-10 and 2010-11.
- The Broncs have dropped their last three following a four-game winning streak. The setbacks have all come on the road at Providence, Drexel and Robert Morris.
- Redshirt freshman Jordan Allen has won three-straight MAAC Rookie of the Week awards. He's scored in double figures in each of his first eight collegiate games, including a season-high 28 at Providence.
- Sophomore Tyere Marshall scored 16 points at Providence and followed up with 23 points on 11-of-13 field goals and 12 rebounds at Drexel.
- Sophomore point guard Stevie Jordan has been strong all-around at 14.5 points, 7.4 assists and 4.9 rebounds per game. He missed the RMU game due to injury.
- The Broncs have had more turnovers than assists just twice this season.
- Hofstra has won two straight, including an 85-84 win at Monmouth on Wednesday on freshman Jalen Ray's three-pointer with two seconds left.
- Justin Wright-Foreman leads Hofstra at 21.0 points per game, while Eli Pemberton has averaged 17.6. Rokas Gustys has averaged a double-double of 10.4 points and 11.0 rebounds per game.
- RU was picked to finish seventh in the MAAC Preseason Poll. Also picked to finish seventh a year ago, the Broncs finished sixth.
- Sixth-year Head Coach Kevin Baggett's teams have posted a 90-83 record and reached the MAAC Quarterfinals in each of his first five seasons. Baggett was the 2015 MAAC Coach of the Year.
