What You Need To Know
- Rider and Niagara are meeting for the 47th time, with the Broncs owning a 24-22 edge in the series. The two teams split a pair of meetings last season, with the home team earning the victory in both games. Rider had won the prior three.
- Rider's last two wins have come over RPI Top 60 teams at the time of the game. Wagner was No. 40, while Penn State was No. 57.
- Redshirt freshman Frederick Scott hit the game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer to cap a comeback from down 10 in the second half at Penn State.
- Sophomore point guard Stevie Jordan became the third-fastest Bronc to 500 points in the last 25 years, Dec. 22 at Penn State.
- Redshirt freshman Jordan Allen won three-straight MAAC Rookie of the Week awards and scored in double figures in each of his first 10 collegiate games.
- Jordan has been strong all-around at 14.7 points, 7.1 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game. He scored 19 points in consecutive games against Hofstra and Wagner after missing the Robert Morris game due to injury.
- Niagara (7-7, 0-1 MAAC) suffered a 98-93 overtime setback to Iona on Friday.
- The Purple Eagles feature a potent scoring duo in Matt Scott (23.6 ppg., 8.1 rpg.) and Kahlil Dukes (21.8 ppg.). Marvin Prochet (8.7 ppg., 8.4 rpg.) has also made a strong contribution. 
- RU was picked to finish seventh in the MAAC Preseason Poll. Also picked to finish seventh a year ago, the Broncs finished sixth.
- Sixth-year Head Coach Kevin Baggett's teams have posted a 92-85 record and reached the MAAC Quarterfinals in each of his first five seasons. Baggett was the 2015 MAAC Coach of the Year.
