Volleyball Wraps Up the Regular Season at Home This Weekend

The Broncs host Coppin State and St. Peter's on Friday and Saturday

What You Need to Know
- The Rider University volleyball team closes out the 2017 regular season this weekend with a pair of home matches versus Coppin State on Friday and Saint Peter's on Saturday. The match with Peacocks concludes a five-game home stand to end the season for the Broncs.
- Last time out, Rider rallied to defeat Manhattan, 3-1, in conference play.
- The Broncs control their own destiny with a win over Saint Peter's on Saturday, Rider will clinch a berth in the MAAC Tournament.
- The Broncs are 6-4 at home this year and 8-4 inside the Garden State in 2017.
- Rider is looking to sweep the regular-season series with Saint Peter's after topping the Peacocks, 3-0, earlier this season in Jersey City.  
- The Broncs have won 14 matches in a row against Saint Peter's. Rider has swept the Broncs in each of the last six seasons.
- In his seventh season at the helm of the program, Chris Feliciano picked up his 96th career victory versus Manhattan. He is second in Rider history in wins. During his tenure, the Broncs have won 54 MAAC games. In the 14 years before he arrived the team had 35 MAAC wins.
- On Wednesday, senior setter Veronica Koval became the program's all-time leader in assists with 2,995. Her 38th assist of the night, which came in the fourth set, was a new program record. This year, she has 1,017 assists and is averaging 9.33 per set. Koval is just the third player in Rider history to have more than 1,000 assists in a season. Koval has recorded 12 double-doubles this season, including last time out versus Manhattan.  
- Earlier this season, Emma Aldaya became the program's all-time leader in digs. Two weeks ago, she became the first player in program history to record 2,000 career digs. This year, she has a team-high 457 digs and is averaging 4.19 digs per set. She is the only player in program history to total 450 or more digs in a season four times.
- Hailey Riede has reached double-digits in kills in a match 21 times this fall, including 20 of her last 21 matches. She has a team-best 333 kills in 2017. In conference play, she is averaging 13 kills per match. She is now ninth all-time in Rider history with 952 career kills. Last weekend versus Quinnipiac,    
she recorded her 1,000th career point.
