What You Need to Know
- The Rider University volleyball team hosts Quinnipiac and Fairfield this weekend, November 4 and 5. The Broncs are coming off a six-game conference road trip that saw them go 4-2 in the month of October. This weekend's matches are the first at home since October 8 for Rider.
- The Broncs are 5-2 at home this year and 7-2 inside the Garden State in 2017. Last time out, Rider fell to Siena, 3-1, a day after knocking off Marist, 3-1.
- Rider has won eight of their last 11 matches.
- Rider is looking to split the regular-season series with both the Bobcats and the Stags after falling to both teams, 3-1, in the Constitution State during the month of September.
- Rider has won five of the last eight against Quinnipiac, but the Bobcats have had the edge of late, taking each of the last three matches.
- In his seventh season at the helm of the program, Chris Feliciano picked up his 95th career victory last Saturday at Marist. He is second in Rider history in wins. During his tenure, the Broncs have won 53 MAAC games. In the 14 years before he arrived the team had 35 MAAC wins.
- Emma Aldaya continued her strong play for Rider on the defensive end last week. She averaged 3.88 digs per set and had a receiving percentage of .921 for the Broncs. In a four-set victory at Marist, she had 14 digs and a serve-receive percentage of .921. Aldaya capped the week with 17 digs against Siena.
- Earlier this season, Aldaya became the program's all-time leader in digs. Last weekend, she became the first player in program history to record 2,000 career digs.
- Hailey Riede has reached double-digits in kills in a match 19 times this fall, including 18 matches in a row. She has a team-best 296 kills in 2017. In conference play, she is averaging 13 kills per match. She is now ninth all-time in Rider history with 915 career kills.  
- Veronica Koval has had 25 or more assists in 23 matches this season, including 18 straight. Sunday marked the third match in a row that she has recorded 30 or more assists. Koval is now second in program history with 2,879 career assists. She also had a double-double against Siena last time out. It was the 11th double-double of the fall for Koval. She is the only Bronc to record a double-double in 2017.
