CINCINNATI, OHStevie Jordan (Bensalem, PA/Conwell-Egan/API) and Jordan Allen (Dover, DE/Dover) scored 14 points apiece and Jordan added nine assists, but the Rider University men's basketball team fell at nationally-ranked No. 17, 101-75, Monday night at Cintas Center. With the loss, the Broncs fall to 1-1, while the Musketeers are now 2-0.

Xavier opened the game on a 10-2 run and gradually built its lead up to 19, 39-20, on a Naji Marshall dunk at the 2:34 mark. But the Broncs scored 14 of the final 19 points in the half, including seven points from Frederick Scott (Muster, IN/Simeon [DePaul]) and an Allen three-pointer in the final seconds of the half to cut the deficit to 44-34 at the break.

Allen hit another three to open the second half and his steal resulted in two Anthony Durham (Philadelphia, PA/Abington/Putnam Science) free throws to cut the deficit to five. But Xavier went on a 24-4 run and the Musketeers' lead swelled to as many as 34 points.

Quotes & Notes
"I thought our guys came out and were a little jittery in the beginning, but I thought we settled down. I thought we played well in the first half, cut it down to 10 and then to start the second have, we cut it down to five. I thought we did some good things. And then we started rushing shots. We went through too many scoring droughts."

"I like the way our team competed. Obviously there are no moral victories, but I do like the way we competed." – Rider Head Coach Kevin Baggett

- Freshman guard Paxton Wilson (Clearwater, FL/Calvary Christian Academy) scored his first-career points with nine, all in the second half on 2-for-5 from long range and 3-for-4 from the free-throw line.
- Nine of the 10 Broncs who saw the floor scored points.
