Broncs Best Peacocks in 3-1 Win

LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL - Points from six different Broncs capped a 3-1 win against Saint Peter's in Rider's opening game of the 2017 MAAC Championship Tournament at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Rider improves to 5-9-3 with the win while the season ends for the Peacocks at 3-13-1.

The scoring began in the 28th minute as sophomore Valeria Pascuet (Bunuel, Navarra, Spain/San Fermin  Ikastola) buried the rebound off a hard shot from junior Kourtney Cunningham (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall). Senior Ellie Smith (Norwich, England/Norwich City), who had been in the game for a minute and 11 seconds, took the pass from sophomore Erica Ludwikowski (Williamsport, PA/Williamsport) and slotted it into the bottom left post to double the lead for the Broncs. Less than three minutes into the second half, junior Meghan McCabe (Massapequa Park, NY/Massapequa) converted the scoring end of a free kick from fellow center back Emily Schmitt (Bellmore, NY/W.C. Mepham). In the 86th minute, Brooke Trotta of Saint Peter's scored off a cross for the final goal of the game.
