LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ - Freshman Cameron Santers (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Hills) scored her first goal as a Bronc to tie the game in the 37th minute, but Quinnipiac got two back late in the second half to advance to the Semifinals of the 2017 MAAC Women's Soccer Championship. Quinnipiac improves to 9-6-3 while Rider's season ends at 5-10-3.
Like the first time these teams played, Quinnipiac's Nadya Gill scored quickly, this time in the sixth minute to give the Bobcats a 1-0 lead. After a Rider corner was cleared out of the box by the Bobcats, Santers charged back with a laser to tie the game. The first half ended with three yellow cards, two against Quinnipiac. In a physical second half, the game remained tied until Gill scored her second of the game in the 80th minute. Al Pelletier added an insurance goal just mere minutes later.

The work ethic and energy was outstanding and on another day the small differences between goals and saves goes in our favor. Our seniors ended their collegiate careers but have left the program in a stronger position than when they arrived. They gave everything they had to Rider University." - Rider Head Coach Drayson Hounsome
