Lawrenceville, NJ – For the second straight week, junior diver
Breanne Hatter (Lincroft, NJ/Middletown HS South) of the Rider University women's swimming and diving team was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Women's Diver of the Week as announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon.
The weekly honor was the third of her career as she was also tabbed as the Diver of the Week on October 26 of last season. This week's award was the second given out during the 2017-18 campaign by the conference with Hatter twice bringing home the distinction.
"Breanne hit all six dives in her list well," Rider Head Coach
Steve Fletcher said. "She did it under the pressure of time because it was a single gender meet and the events moved quickly. The team needed her performance to push us over the top versus Siena."
Hatter continued her strong early season for Rider by setting a new pool record at Siena in the 1M. She won the event and set the record with a score of 285.60. Hatter also posted a third-place finish in the 3M diving event with a score of 249.90. Her performance helped propel the Broncs to a dual-match victory over the Saints.
Rider returns to the poll on Saturday, October 21, with a home non-conference dual meet versus Lehigh that is slated to get underway at 1:00 pm from the Coppola Pool on campus. Â
