What You Need To Know
- Rider and Hartford are meeting for the fifth time and the fourth time in the last five years. The Broncs own a 3-1 lead in the series, including a pair of wins at Chase Arena. Each of the last two victories came by a two-point margin, including a double-overtime triumph last Dec. 30 in Lawrenceville.

- Rider defeated two-time defending MEAC Champion Hampton, 67-56, on the road to open the season on Friday. All five starters scored at least nine points, led by 14 apiece from Xavier Lundy and Stevie Jordan.

- Jordan's 14 points are the most on record by a Bronc making his debut as a freshman in the last 21 years (as far back as full box scores are available).

- Jordan also dished out five assists, grabbed three rebounds and blocked two shots in 31 minutes to earn MAAC Rookie of the Week.

- Hartford will play its second home game in as many days after defeating Niagara, 82-78, in overtime. The game tipped at 6:30 a.m. as part of ESPN's College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon.

- The Broncs were picked to finish seventh in the MAAC by the league's coaches. Kahlil Thomas was selected to the Preseason All-MAAC Second Team.

- The Broncs are led by fifth-year Head Coach Kevin Baggett, whose teams have posted a 68-64 record and reached the MAAC Quarterfinals in each of his first four seasons in Lawrenceville.

- Senior forward Kahlil Thomas led the MAAC in field-goal percentage last season, both overall (.565) and in league play (.600). Senior forward Xavier Lundy was also sixth in the league overall (.498) and 13th in league play (.484).
