Fick Makes Six
LAWRENCEVILLE—Rider University head volleyball coach Christopher Feliciano has announced that the recruiting class for this fall is now up to six student-athletes with the addition of Kristin Fick.
A 6-0 outside hitter from North Aurora, Illinois, Fick was a two-time team captain for West Aurora High School, earning conference honorable mention honors for the Blackhawks as a junior before missing most of her senior season with an injury.
“With first touch contact being extremely important at this level, Kristin adds great value to an already outstanding group of freshmen,” said Feliciano who begins his fifth season at Rider. “Coming from probably one of the most decorated clubs in the country (Sport Performance) her volleyball IQ is absolutely sensational. She has the potential to impact this program from a competitive stand point both on and off the court.”
Fick was a member of the Blackhawk Leadership Council from 2013-2015 and was on the academic honor roll all four years of high school.
Fick joins Olivia Aycock, Catie Harding, Savannah Logan, Hailey Riede and Perry Williams as part of the Rider Volleyball Class of 2019 this fall.
Coming off its most wins since the 1994 season and the sixth most victories in program history (17), Rider opens the 2015 season on August 28 when the Broncs play at the Maroon and Gray Invitational, hosted by Maryland Eastern Shore.
The home opener is September 9 against Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference rival Iona College at 7pm in Alumni Gymnasium.
