Rider Athletes of the Month for September

Soccer Players Flath, Howard

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ—Soccer players Christian Flath and Bethany-May Howard have been named the Rider University Athletes of the Month for September.

Flath, a junior from Bargeshagen, Germany, compiled four goals and four assists in the first nine games of the season.

As of September 26 he ranked first in the MAAC and 13^th in the nation in assists and 22^nd in the nation in points.

Howard, a junior from Glastonbury, England, leads the MAAC and is 13^th in the nation in saves and ranks 12^th in the nation in save percentage.

Howard recently compiled five shutouts in a six-game span and was named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week three times.

Both the Rider men and women began the season with 6-4 records.
