Rider's Taylor Honored by CollegeSportsMadness.com

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ—Rider University sophomore Jimmie Taylor was named the CollegeSportsMadness.com Player of the Week in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference for all games played December 22-January 4.

Last week, Taylor (Branford, Fla./Suwannee) led Rider to a pair of victories on the road.

The 6'3” guard compiled 34 points and 11 rebounds, making 12 of 23 shots from the field. He also had three assists, two steals and a pair of blocked shots in the victories at Wagner and at Marist.

For the season, Taylor is averaging 10.1 points and 3.9 rebounds per game.

For his career, Taylor already has 517 points in 45 games (11.5 ppg) and has made 64 three-point field goals.

As a freshman Taylor was a member of the MAAC All-Rookie team, finishing first in the MAAC in three-point field goal percentage.
