LAWRENCEVILLE--The Rider University women's tennis team lost a non-conference match to La Salle University on Tuesday afternoon.

For Rider, freshman Cynthia Vlad (Annandale/North Hunterdon) had the only single win, scoring a 3-6, 6-4, 10-3 victory at second singles.

"We were missing a few players so we had two players playing up two positions," said head coach Ed Torres.  "As you can see, it was otherwise an even match."

La Salle forfeited the number five and six singles matches.

This was the final match of the 2013 spring season for the Rider women.

The Rider men travel to La Salle Wednesday.
