PHILADELPHIA, Pa.--Both the Rider University men's and women's tennis teams were swept in a non-conference match at Drexel University Tuesday afternoon. -RU-
For the Rider men, senior Drew Laverty (Mount Royal/Kingsway Regional) won four games at third singles before losing 6-1, 6-3.
For the Bronc women, senior Marly Roche (Sussex/High Point Regional) won two games at first singles before losing 6-1, 6-1.
"Drexel played a steadier match," said head coach Ed Torres. "They were good at hitting ground strokes and out-rallied us. They made less errors."
Both teams wrap up the fall 2012 season with a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference match against Saint Peter's University on Saturday at 11am on the campus courts in Lawrenceville.
