LAWRENCEVILLE--The Rider University women's tennis team lost a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference match to Marist Monday afternoon.
For Rider, sophomore Tricia Ashmore (Sparta) won 10 games before losing 7-5, 7-5 at number three singles.
"The only player that played steady was Tricia Ashmore," said head coach Ed Torres. "She played a very good match and battled for over two hours. As a team, we made too many errors. Tricia was the only one who played with any type of consistency."
Rider hosts Wagner on Wednesday.
