JERSEY CITY--The Rider University volleyball team lost in straight sets at Saint Peter's in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference match Sunday afternoon in Jersey City.

For Rider, (1-16, 0-8 MAAC) senior Katelyn Thompson (Tucson, Ariz./Catalina Foothills) had 11 kills and hit .188 with senior Amanda Piccolini (St. Clairsville, Ohio/St. Clairsville) compiling 36 assists.

The match saw 23 ties and seven lead changes, including 15 ties in the opening set.
The Peahens defeated Rider twice by 3-0 scores last season and have won 20 of the 32 matches in the all-time series including the last 11 in a row.
The teams meet in Lawrenceville on November 6 for the rematch.
The Broncs have lost 15 straight.
Rider travels to Rutgers Tuesday for the final non-conference match of the 2010 regular season.
