POUGHKEEPSIE, NY?The Broncs lost a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference match at Marist Thursday afternoon.
For Rider (3-11, 0-6 MAAC), senior Danielle Morse (Edison/Hopewell Valley) came back from a first set loss to win at second singles. “Danielle played very well,” said Rider head coach Ed Torres. “She was losing in the second set after losing the first set. She is playing very well and today was a very good victory for her. She has one of the best forehands of anyone I've had here.”
The victory was the sixth of the season for Morse, second most on the team.
Marist won all three doubles matches. “Our doubles teams did not play very well,” Torres said. “We need to work on our steadiness, keeping the ball in play.”
The men's and women's teams host Philadelphia University Saturday.
