Saint Joseph's 7, Rider University 0
LAWRENCEVILLE?The Rider University women's tennis team was swept in a non-conference match on Monday afternoon. “The team tried its best against a very experienced Saint Joseph's squad,” said head coach Ed Torres.
For the Broncs, junior Danielle Morse (Edison/Hopewell Valley) won six games but lost at first singles with the second set going to a tiebreaker.
“It's been hard on the team this season,” Torres added. “With such an inexperienced squad, we are going through some growing pains but they will be better for the experiences that they went through this season.”
The women's team hosts Siena in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference match on Tuesday to complete the regular season.
Both the men and women will conclude the spring seasons at the MAAC Championships at the United States Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, N.Y. April 18-20.
