LAWRENCEVILLE--Sophomore Gene Crimoli (Shrewsbury, NJ/Christian Bros. Academy) hit a three-run home run in the first inning and seven Bronc pitchers combined to five-hit the Pirates as Rider defeated Seton Hall 5-4 on Thursday.
For the Broncs (10-16), sophomore Mike Poalise (Hammonton, NJ/Hammonton) scored twice and added a double to give freshman Erik Holck (Readington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) the win.
Senior Scott Rich (Hamilton Square, NJ/Steinert) and freshman Brad States (Paoli, PA/Conestoga) also added doubles for Rider.
Freshman Justin Roszkowski (Clark, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson) pitched a scoreless ninth for his first save of the year.
Rider travels to Syracuse, New York to face MAAC rival LeMoyne in a three-game series this weekend.
