FULLERTON, CA--CSF third baseman Amy LaRocque went one for two with three RBI, including a double as the Titans defeated Rider University 3-0 at the NCAA Regional in California on Thursday.

Jodie Cox pitched a complete game three hitter, recording 11 strikeouts for her 20th win of the season.

Freshman Heather Beintema (La Mesa, CA/Grossmont) pitched a complete game for Rider, recording six strikeouts, allowed only one earned run in the game.

Junior Courtney Weed (Maybrook, NY/Valley Central) and freshman Kristin Kenavan (Staten Island, NY/Tottenville) each had singles in the first two innings however the Broncs were unable to score.  Freshman Jamie Farley (Clifton/Clifton) had the other hit for Rider, a two-out double in the fourth inning.

Tied at zero in the fourth inning, the Titans (40-13) scored on a walk, fielders choice, bunt single and a sacrifice fly to take a 1-0 lead.  In the sixth inning with one out, Cox doubled to leftfield and after a dropped foul ball and a single, LaRocque hit a two RBI double to leftfield to seal the win.

Rider (24-24) will face the Aztecs of San Diego State University tonight at 10:00PM eastern time in an elimination game.  #5 seeded SDSU was no-hit on Thursday by #4 seed Louisiana-Lafayette 6-0.
