Dellavecchia posted a 10-1 record in January, finishing second at the Southern Scuffle. His lone loss came in the Southern Scuffle Championship bout to nationally-ranked No. 2 Hayden Hidlay of North Carolina State. He went on to win his next six bouts, leading Rider to six-straight dual victories, including the title at the 40^th Annual Virginia Duals. To earn the title, Rider defeated Duke, Maryland and No. 17 Virginia consecutively.
