Johnson has had a torrid start to the 2019-20 season. She currently leads the country in scoring with 30.8 ppg. She has been named the MAAC Player of the Week three times already this season and on November 26 she was tabbed as the USBWA Ann Meyers Drysdale Women's National Player of the Week. She was also named to the USBWA Ann Meyers Drysdale Women’s National Player of the Year Watch List and the Citizen Naismith Trophy Watch List. Already this year, Johnson has set the program career record in steals with 264 and counting. She also became the first player in program history to score over 40 points in a game as she poured in 41 in a come-from-behind win over Lipscomb on Nov. 22.
