Scott averaged 13.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game over seven games in December, shooting 50.8 percent from the floor and 44.4 percent from long range. He hit a pair of free throws in the final seconds against Wagner to send the game to overtime, at which point he took over with nine of his team-high 21 points in the extra session. He followed that up with the game-winning, buzzer-beating three-pointer in Rider’s 71-70 victory at Penn State. It was Rider’s first win over a high major program since 2010 and their second-straight over the Nittany Lions (Nov. 23, 2007). Scott capped off the month with a 16-point, seven-rebound performance as the Broncs defeated Niagara on New Year’s Eve.
