A 2004 Rider graduate, Courtney Lawrence returns to her alma mater for her second season as an assistant coach. In four seasons, the former Courtney Weed compiled 184 hits, which ranks eighth all-time on the Rider career hit list. Courtney and her twin sister Brandey played on the 2006 and 2007 PFX Pro-Fastpitch X-Treme softball tour with the team featuring six Olympians including pitcher Lisa Fernandez. A Maybrook, New York native, Courtney graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Courtney led the Broncs in batting average, stolen bases, and on-base percentage her junior and senior years and led Rider to the 2003 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference championship and NCAA Tournament. A three-time MAAC All-Academic honoree, Courtney was a two-time First Team All-MAAC player and was selected to the All-Tournament Team for her standout play at the MAAC Championships in 2003.
