Ryanne Allen joined Rider University as Director of Basketball Operations in July of 2026 following a Division I playing career at Villanova University and Vanderbilt University. She brings a strong background in leadership, organization, and program culture shaped through her experience competing in two of the nation’s premier women’s basketball conferences.

Allen concluded her collegiate playing career at Villanova University, where she competed in the BIG EAST Conference and was a key contributor for the Wildcats. During her time at Villanova, she appeared in 27 games during the 2024-25 season, averaging 4.8 points and 2.3 rebounds per game while providing versatility on both ends of the floor. She delivered several standout performances, including a 17-point outing against Boston College in WBIT play and a 10-point performance against Portland, while also recording a career-high 10 rebounds at St. John’s and a career-best four steals against Seton Hall. Allen played an important role in Villanova’s postseason success, helping the Wildcats advance to the WBIT semifinals during her final season.
Prior to her time at Villanova, Allen spent two seasons at Vanderbilt University, competing in the Southeastern Conference. During her time with the Commodores, she developed into a consistent contributor, appearing in 60+ games across two seasons while gaining valuable experience in one of the most competitive conferences in college basketball. She recorded multiple double-figure scoring performances, including a career-high 17 points against Samford, and was twice named SEC Freshman of the Week.
A product of Archbishop Wood High School in Pennsylvania, Allen arrived at the collegiate level as one of the most decorated players in the state, finishing her high school career with over 1,400 points and earning multiple state and league honors.
Following her playing career, Allen has gained valuable leadership and operational experience through a variety of roles in athletics and event management. She served as an Area Manager for the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, where she helped coordinate logistics, manage staff and attendee flow, and support operations in a fast-paced environment. She has also worked extensively in player development settings as a camp counselor for both Villanova and Vanderbilt women’s basketball camps.
A former student-athlete in two elite Division I programs, Allen brings a strong understanding of the demands of high-level athletics along with emerging experience in operations, communication, and program support. Her background and exposure to elite competitive environments position her well for a leadership role within Rider women’s basketball.
Allen earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Villanova University in May 2026
