Golabek Coaching at Rider
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ—Rob Golabek has begun his first season as an assistant track & field coach at Rider University, Rider head coach Bob Hamer announced.
Golabek is a 2012 graduate of the University at Buffalo, where he was a four-time All-American as a thrower.
“I am very excited to have a coach on staff with Rob’s athletic credentials,” said Hamer, the 2013 MAAC Track & Field Coach of the Year. “He was a very successful student-athlete and will be an excellent mentor for the student-athletes in our program.”
Golabek was a three-time Mid-American Conference Champion in the shot put at Buffalo after competing at Division II Southern Connecticut as a freshman.
“I look forward to watching our throwers develop and compete at a very high level,” Hamer said.
Golabek, a high school All-America as well at Frontier High School in Hamburg, NY competed at the 2012 US Olympic Trials in Oregon.
