Goldera Surles joined Rider in the role of Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing & Fan Engagement in December 2023, serving as a key contributor to implementing marketing strategies, with a primary focus on optimizing the game day experience for all Rider fans by creating an inclusive and vibrant atmosphere. She also serves as the staff advisor to the pep band.
Graduating in August 2023 from Merrimack College with a Master of Arts in Communication, Surles previously organized various social media campaigns as a Graduate Residence Director in conjunction with other institutional departments such as Athletics and the Graduate Student Senate.
She was awarded the Graduate Student Impact Award at the conclusion of her program for her extensive positive efforts in student life through outstanding service involvement in programs, initiatives, and organizations. She was also a member of Merrimack’s inaugural NCAA D1 Women’s Bowling Team, which went on to become nationally ranked.
As a 2022 Molloy University graduate, Surles obtained two bachelor’s degrees in Media Communications & Spanish, graduating summa cum laude. Having excelled as an NCAA D2 bowler at Molloy, Surles earned distinctions as an NTCA Scholar Athlete & United States Bowling Congress Academic All-American.
A New Jersey native born in Paterson and raised in Irvington, Surles currently resides in Union, NJ.
