Barbara Whalley begins her fourth season as an assistant coach with the Rider field hockey team.

Whalley is a graduate of Leeds Metropolitan University in England where she earned a bachelor’s degree in sport & exercise science. Whalley earned her master’s degree in physical education/athletic administration at the College of New Jersey where she coached for two seasons and helped the Lions win a pair of Conference Championships and advance to the NCAA Tournament.

“Barb has been a great addition to our staff,” said Head Coach Lori Hussong. “She brings a wealth of knowledge and international experience to our program. She is a bright and articulate communicator and our players have responded well to her.”
