Cindy Loaiza is in her first season as an assistant volleyball coach at Rider University in 2016.
“We are really excited to add Cindy as an assistant coach,” said head coach Christopher Feliciano who begins his sixth season at Rider. “She will be a good role model for our student-athletes. I’m excited to see her impact, both on and off the court as she grows into the position.”
A graduate of Richard Stockton College of New Jersey with a degree in Biology, Loaiza is currently pursuing her master’s degree at Montclair University in the Nutrition and Dietetics Program.
An ACE certified personal trainer, Loaiza has experience with the Forge Athletic Club, Atlantic Valley Volleyball Club, Lakeland Hills YMCA and Stockton where she worked as an events staff member.
Loaiza also worked with both the Stockton men’s and women’s volleyball programs as well as the women’s rowing team and was a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
“It is rare that you find such a diverse skill set like Cindy has,” Feliciano added. “She is a highly motivated individual with positive energy who is excited to be in the gym every day. I’ve known her throughout the club ranks and she brings intangibles that can take a good team and make them great.”
Loaiza also has extensive community service activities including the Food Bank of New Jersey, Oak Shade Farm, St. Clares Hospital, Parsippany High School, Timmy’s Town Interactive Children’s Museum and the St. Stanislaus Elementary School Physical Education program.
