Caroline Pape was announced as head coach of the women’s lacrosse program in August of 2025. Pape becomes the second head coach in the history of the program.
Pape comes to Rider following four seasons at Moravian University, where she led the Greyhounds to a 38-34 overall record, including a 22-10 mark in Landmark Conference play, reaching the Landmark Conference Tournament in all four years. After leading the team to a 12-6 overall record and 6-1 conference mark in 2023, she was named the Landmark Conference Coach of the Year.
During her time in Bethlehem, Pape coached four IWLCA All-Region honorees, three Landmark Conference Players of the Year, on Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year, and 14 All-Conference selections. In 2023, she saw the Greyhounds defeat conference-rival University of Scranton for the first time in program history.
Prior to her time at Moravian, Pape spent two seasons as an assistant under former Rider head coach, Evan Mager, at FDU Florham, where the team went 18-4 in two seasons, including 16-1 in 2021, entering the NCAA Tournament undefeated at 16-0.
As a player with the Devils, Pape was a three-time All-MAC selection and the 2019 MAC Offensive Player of the Year. She was also named the team’s MVP and an IWLCA First-Team All-Region honoree.
