Nic Bedelyon

Nic Bedelyon enters his ninth season as the head assistant and his 14th year overall with the Broncs in 2025-26. Bedelyon has made a significant impact in the program since his arrival in Lawrenceville. He has helped orchestrate a Top 10 recruiting class, landed several Top 5 nationally-ranked recruits, secure a Top 20 team finish at the NCAA’s and helped coach seven All Americans since 2015. 

It was another strong season for the Broncs in 2024-25, earning a dual meet win over 24th-ranked Maryland during the regular season before taking fifth at the MAC Championships behind four individual champions. At the NCAA Championships, Sammy Alvarez took seventh to earn All-America honors.

The Broncs secured a second-straight MAC East Division Dual Meet Championship in 2023-24 with a perfect 8-0 mark in conference duals. Quinn Kinner earned All-America honors with an 8th-place finish at the NCAA Championships.
 
Coach Bedelyon was also instrumental in the Broncs placing three wrestlers in the NCAA Quarterfinals in 2016 and three more in the Round of 12 in 2017, earning three All-America honors during those two years. Bedelyon also played an enormous role in Jesse Dellavecchia’s National Runner Up performance in 2021. 
 
“Nic is the best head assistant coach in the entire country!” Head Coach John Hangey said. “He has made a major impact within our program and is an absolute fierce competitor.”
 
As a competitor, Bedelyon enjoyed a very successful career wrestling for Kent State University.  He earned All-America honors twice, finishing 8th in 2009 and 6th in 2012. Bedelyon was also a four-time NCAA Qualifier, and two-time MAC Champion and won the prestigious Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational in 2011.
 
Bedelyon and his wife, Cierra, and their two children, Brodi and Brooklyn, reside in Cinnaminson, NJ. He also recently earned his MA in Athletic Leadership from Rider University.
