Biography

2022:
- Scored a goal and added an assist in 15 games off the bench
- Scored in the Broncs’ 3-0 win over Saint Peter’s (Sept. 24)
- Added an assist in Rider’s 6-0 win at Delaware State (Aug. 28)
- MAAC All-Academic Team honoree

2021 (at St. Francis Brooklyn):
- Led the Terriers with nine points, tying for the team lead with four goals, while adding an assist
- Scored game-winning goals against Bryant (Sept. 16) and Mount St. Mary’s (Oct. 21)
- Also scored in a tie against Fordham (Sept. 9) and a loss to Saint Francis (Pa.)(Oct. 7)
- Assisted on the equalizer in a 1-1 tie against Canisius (Aug. 29)
- Returned to Rider following the Fall semester
- MAAC Academic Honor Roll recipient

2020-21:
- Played in all eight games, including seven starts
- Second on the team with two goals and five points
- Put nine of her 16 shots on goal
- Scored the game-winning goal against Saint Peter’s (Apr. 6)
- Assisted on Hannah Freeman’s game-winning goal in the MAAC Quarterfinals against Manhattan (Apr. 9)
- Earned MAAC Academic Honor Roll

2019:
- Led the team with six goals and 14 points, while distributing a pair of assists
- Two-time MAAC Rookie of the Week (Aug. 26, Oct. 28)
- Scored a team-high three game-winning goals, including golden goals against Wagner (Aug. 23) and Canisius (Oct. 23)
- Began her collegiate career with the golden goal and an assist on the equalizer in a double-overtime victory over Wagner (Aug. 23)
- Added a goal in her second game against St. Francis Brooklyn (Aug. 28)
- Assisted on Mackenzie Rodrigues’ equalizer in a tie against Temple (Sept. 15)
- Scored the game-winning goal in the 84th minute against Marist (Oct. 5)
- Tallied Rider’s lone goal in a loss at Manhattan (Oct. 16)
- Scored twice, including the golden goal with 20 seconds left in overtime at Canisius (Oct. 23)

Before Rider:
The all-time leading goal scorer for Riverside High School with 155 goals, Russell was a four-year starter, breaking school records throughout her varsity career... As a freshman, Russell tied the school record for goals in a single season (37) and was named New Jersey Freshman of the Year... As a junior, Russell was the leading high school goal scorer in New Jersey, hitting the back of the net 60 times... She was named First Team Freedom Division for four-consecutive years, a NJ Top 25 Player, as well as the NJ Player of the Week on nine occasions... At the club level, Russell played in the National Premier League with the SJEB Rush, leading the team to three State Cup Championships, and a Regional Championship... Also an All-Freedom Division performer in basketball and softball.. Scored more than 1,500 points in basketball, breaking the school record with eight three-pointers in a single game.

Personal:
The daughter of Terri and Ron Russell... Has an older sister, Ashley, and a twin sister, Hannah, who plays soccer at St. Francis Brooklyn... A health sciences major.
