Bob Marchetti

Bob Marchetti begins his seventh season as the jumps coach for the Broncs.  His tenure has been marked by tremendous results including new Rider records in the women's indoor and outdoor long jump and pole vault, the outdoor women's triple jump the indoor and outdoor men's pole vault and the indoor triple jump.  Overall they have set nine new Rider records.

His athletes have won the last three MAAC men's pole vault titles and the last two outdoor titles and have won 15 individual MAAC titles.

Marchetti has mentored 35 athletes to ECAC/IC4A Qualifying marks and has had four of those athletes earn All-East honors.

Marchetti came back to Rider from Belmont-Abbey College in Belmont, North Carolina, where he was the head cross country/track & field coach in 2011.

A graduate of nearby Steinert High School, Marchetti has also coached at Columbia University, Murray State and Mercer County College, as well as the Shore Athletic Club of New Jersey.

At Steinert, Marchetti was a member of the 1987 Group III State Championship cross country team.

Marchetti competed at the University of New Mexico, where he earned his degree in University Studies, and won the 1993 WAC title with a high jump of 7'3".
