Biography
At Rider:
Communication major...as a junior, put up his best times in the 200 freestyle (1:51.38), 500 free (5:04.85) and 1000 free (10:29.27) at the 2011 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships...as a sophomore, swam his best times in the 1000 free (10:37.08) and 1650 free (17:49.16) at the 2010 MAAC Championships to help the team finish second...As a freshman, finished with his best time in the 200 back (2:15.42) in a meet against Rutgers and Seton Hall...swam his best time in the 100 fly (1:02.30) against MAAC-rival Loyola.
At Lakeview North High School:
Was a five-year varsity letter winner...two-time All Conference...was a two-year letterwinner in football...Personal: son of Terry and Carol Mitchell, younger brother Matt is also a member of the Rider swim team and also has a younger brother Tim.
