Biography

At Rider:
Marketing and Advertising double major...Rider's only athlete from the Virgin Islands...team captain...as a junior at the 2010 Eastern College Athletic Conference championships, placed ninth in the 200 IM (1:53.28) and placed 11th in the 200 fly (1:52.63) to help the team finish third overall...won the 200 fly (1:52.19), placed second in the 400 IM (4:02.75) and was fifth in the 200 IM (1:52.94) at the 2010 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference championships to help the team finish second overall... swam the third leg of the runner-up 800 free relay that set a Rider record at MAACs with a time of 6:49.90...at the 2009 Bucknell Invitational, was second in the 200 fly (1:54.79), eighth in the 400 IM (4:11.12) and finishing 14th in the 200 IM (1:56.12)...competed in the 200 fly, 200 IM and 100 back at the 13th FINA World Swimming Championships in Rome, Italy July 26-August 2, 2009 that featured 1,460 swimmers from 146 countries...as a sophomore, was second in the 200 fly (1:52.87), second in the 400 IM (4:01.36), fourth in the 200 IM (1:54.23) and swam the last leg of the men's 800 free relay that finished second with a time of (6:50.65) at the 2009 MAAC championships...at the 2009 ECAC championships, swam the second leg of the men's 200 free relay that placed third (1:22.61), was ninth in the 400 IM (4:04.20) and placed 12th in the 200 IM (1:53.84)...as a freshman, was part of the 200 medley relay that placed second (7:01.60) at the 2008 ECAC championships...at the 2008 MAAC championships, was fourth in the 200 IM (4:09.95), fourth in the 400 IM (4:09.95) and fifth in the 200 fly (1:56.24)...top 12 finish at 2008 ECACs in the 200 fly (1:55.66) and 200 IM (1:55.66). 

At St. Croix Country Day:
Was the MVP of his basketball team as well as swimming...qualified and competed in the Pan American Games and the World University Games...medalist at the CARIFTA Championships and the Caribbean Islands Championships...a member of the academic honor roll...Personal: son of Henry and Rita Nelthropp.
