Business Administration major...as a junior, named Rider Athlete of the Month for the months of October and January...swam a conference championship and Rider record 1:47.56 in the 200 IM at the 2012 MAAC Championships...swam a lifetime best 1:47.90 in the 200 Back at the 2012 MAAC Championships...finished in 50.21 in the 100 Back at the 2012 MAAC Championships...finished in 50.19 in the 100 Fly at the 2012 ECAC Championships swam the anchor leg of the 800 Free Relay that won the 2012 MAAC Championships in a Rider record time of 6:46.17...swam opening leg of the 400 Medley Relay that finished first in 3:21.13...as a sophomore, at the 2011 MAAC Championships swam season best times in the 200 backstroke (1:50.25) while finishing second, 200 Individual Medley (1:50.19) finishing first, and the 400 IM (4:00.34) finishing second, swam the third leg of the 800 free relay that set a new school record (6:48.57), swam a season best time in the 100 butterfly (52.96) at the 2010 Princeton 'Big Al' Invitational, finished third in the 200 IM at the 2011 ECAC Open Swimming Championships...as a freshman, at the 2010 ECAC Open Swimming & Diving Championships placed third in the 400 Individual Medley (4:01.99), placed third in the 200 IM (1:52.25), and was fifth in the 200 back (1:52.58)...at the 2010 MAAC Championships placed second in the 200 back (1:51.68), was fourth in the 100 back (52.56), and placed fourth in the 200 IM (1:51.89)...won the 100 back (52.56) and 200 back (1:54.25) in a meet against Drexel...

Four-year varsity letter winner...2009 Nevada State Champion in the 200 back...2008 Nevada State Champion in the 100 back, also three-time regional champion in the 100 back...Athlete of the Year...also lettered in soccer...plays the trumpet...Personal: son of John and Anita Funk, has a sister Jennifer.
