Biography

2019:
- Started all 54 games at shortstop, becoming one of only four Broncs to play in every game and one of only three to start every game
- Drove in a team-best 15 runs, while also leading the Broncs with four home runs
- MAAC All-Academic Team honoree
- Hit .225 (5th – team), while finishing tied for second on the team with 14 runs scored
- Her 33 hits and 49 total bases were third-most on the team
- Had a team-high five games with multiple RBI’s, while compiling eight games with multiple hits (third-most on the team)
- Contributed four doubles
- Walked 12 times, third-most on the team
- Successful on her only stolen-base attempt
- Contributed the game-winning two-run single in the 10th inning at Saint Peter’s (Apr. 13)
- Her two-run home run in the fifth inning against Fairleigh Dickinson (Apr. 17) broke a 2-2 tie in a 4-2 win

2018:
- Started the first 42 games of the season at shortstop before missing the final eight games due to injury
- Tied for the team lead with four triples, while finishing second with 21 RBI’s
- Her 27 runs scored and 36 hits both ranked third on the team
- Finished fourth on the team with 47 total bases, while her two sacrifice flies ranked second
- Hit .310 to finish third on the team among Broncs with 100 plate appearances or more
- Had 11 multi-hit games, the second-most on the team
- Finished the season on a five-game hitting streak, her longest of the season
- Began the year with a season-high three hits at Coastal Carolina (Feb. 16)
- Reached safely in 4-of-5 plate appearances against Coppin State (March 3) with a triple and three walks, driving in two and scoring two more runs
- Also walked three times against Chattanooga (March 10), also scoring twice and driving in two with a hit in her only official at bat
- Went 4-for-6 with a pair of triples, five runs scored and two RBI’s in a doubleheader sweep of Coppin State (April 5)
- Had two hits in three-straight games against Villanova (April 24) and Drexel (April 26, both games)

Before Rider:
Started 44 of 47 games played as a freshman for Davon Ortega at Holy Family… Compiled nine extra-base hits, scored 23 runs and drove in 16… Two-time First-Team All-South Jersey and three-time All-Conference at Ocean City High School… Broke her school’s single-season home run and RBI record… Also played volleyball and tennis in high school, earning All-Conference in both sports.

Personal:
The daughter of Melissa Payne… Has a younger sister, Taylor… A secondary education major with a concentration in math.
