Shannon Padula

Shannon Padula returns to Rider for her second season as an assistant coach in 2015.

A 2009 West Chester University graduate with a degree in Communications Studies, Padula came to Lawrenceville in 2014 after two seasons as an assistant coach at Division III Fairleigh Dickinson (Florham Park) where she earned her Master’s degree in Sports Administration in 2013.

While an undergrad at West Chester, Padula was a four-year starting pitcher and she helped the Lady Golden Rams to back to back NCAA Division II regional appearances in 2008 and 2009.

As a sophomore, Padula was Second Team All-Conference as the team MVP.

As a junior, Padula broke four West Chester records and became the first pitcher with more than 20 victories, finishing with 24.

As a senior, Padula broke eight more West Chester records including the mark for all-time wins, strikeouts and innings pitched (over 700).

While at West Chester, Padula also participated in the Leadership Challenge Series and the State Farm Leadership Retreat and was a participant in the Molly Shepard Mentor Program which exposes students to Women in Leadership Positions.

Since 2009, Padula has also interned for the West Chester University Department of Athletics, Comcast Sportsnet and the New York Giants of the National Football League.
