Thomas joined the Broncs from Ewing, just nearby at The College of New Jersey, prior to the 2023-24 season. During her tenure at TCNJ, Thomas achieved remarkable success as a coach guiding two athletes to NCAA DIII National Championship appearances, marking a significant achievement as she guided the first thrower from the Men's program to do so since 2004 and the Women's program since 1991. Thomas mentored 46 AARTF Regional Championship Qualifiers, oversaw 5 NJAC Conference Champions, and worked with 65 NJAC Conference Championship Scorers. Thomas was a part of seven Team NJAC Conference Champions Titles, and she concluded her tenure at TCNJ with 22 athletes making it onto the TCNJ All-Time Top 10 Lists and three school records.

Thomas, a 2014 graduate of Monmouth University, ended her colligate career as the school's record holder in the women's weight throw. She was a key contributor during Monmouth's seven consecutive Women's Conference Championship Title Wins. With the Hawks, she was a five-time MAAC Championship finalist, a five-time NEC Championship finalist, a 2014 Women's Weight Throw MAAC Champion, and a four-time ECAC/IC4A Qualifier.

Coach Thomas is a USATF Level 1 Certified Track and Field coach. She and her husband currently reside in Willingboro, NJ with their newborn son, Miles.
