Rider University Athletics

At Rider:
Marketing and International Business dual major…posted five singles wins as a sophomore, vs. Lafayette at the Villanova Invitational, against St. Francis Brooklyn, against La Salle, vs. Lafayette during the spring season and at Siena in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play…won six doubles matches, at Siena in conference play, at Temple, vs. St. Francis Brooklyn, against La Salle and back to back matches against Fordham and Lafayette…as a Rider rookie, won three matches in a row in October, 2014 against Philadelphia University, a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference match against Saint Peter’s and in a Rider victory over St. Francis Brooklyn…also defeated Siena in straight sets, helping Rider to a 4-3 MAAC win over the Saints in the Spring of 2015…also won the doubles match against the Saints.

At Pope John XXIII High School:
Four-year letterwinner at first singles…two-time MVP…two-time Player of the Area honoree… Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex (HWS) first singles champion in 2013 and HWS first singles finalist in 2014…hobbies include soccer and skiing…plays the guitar…personal: son of Tom Van Herwarde, Sr., and his brother is Tom Van Herwarde, Jr.
