2018-19
- Named to the MAAC All-Academic Team.
- Fastest time of the year in the 1,000 free (10:19.24) came in the prelims of the MAAC Championships.
- Fastest time of the year in the 1,650 free (16:56.82) came in the finals at the MAAC Championships.

2017-18
- Finished sixth in the 500 free in a tri-meet with UMBC and Seton Hall.
- Came in sixth in the 1000 free in a dual meet again Marist.

Before Rider
Was a four-year letter winner on the swimming and diving team at Middletown High School…was also a three-year letter winner in cross country…earned All-Academic honors for four years…member of the track and field team running distance for four years…his team won four straight Central Connecticut Team Championships…was the Central Connecticut Conference Champion in the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 500 free, 200 free relay, 200 medley relay and the 400 free relay…finished ninth in the state of Connecticut in the 500 free in 2015 and 2016 at the CT Class M State Finals.

Personal
Son of Yvonne and Michael Joy…majoring in biology…hobbies include, ping pong, pool, Boy Scouts, National Youth Leadership Training, running, rock climbing, surfing, puzzles and boating…has one brother and one sister…works as a lifeguard at Middletown Parks and Recreation.
