- Part of the 200 medley relay that finished second at the MAAC Championships.
- Came in fifth in the 100 fly with a time of 49.26 at the MAAC Championships.
- Earned a bronze medal in the 100 back with a time of 49.84 at the MAAC Championships.
- Finished in fifth-place in the 200 back with a time of 1:48.88 at the MAAC Championships.
- Came in ninth-place in the 50 fly with a time of 22.23 in the B finals at the CSCAA National Invitational Championships.
- Ended up in 10th-place in the 100 fly with a time of 48.84 at the CSCAA National Invitational Championships.
- Finished in fifth-place in the 100 back at the ECAC Championships with a time of 50.43.
- Named to the MAAC All-Academic Team.

2017-18
- Named to the MAAC All-Academic Team.
- Finished 12th in the 100 back with a time of 50.15 at the ECAC Championships.
- Came in fourth in the 200 back with a time of 1:50.48 at the MAAC Championships.
- Landed in eighth-place in the 100 fly with a time of 50.65 at the MAAC Championships.
- Won the 50 back and finished second in 100 free in a dual meet with Monmouth.

2016-17
- Finished seventh in the 200 back, 11th in the 100 fly and fourth in the 100 back at the MAAC Championships as Rider won its sixth straight team title.
- Finished 11th in the 100 back at the ECAC Championships as Rider finished in second-place.
- Swam his fastest time of the season in the 50 free at the Brown Invitational.

BEFORE RIDER
Attended Monroe Township High School…born in Latvia…swam as an independent as a sprinter…won the 100 free at the Greater Middlesex Conference Championships…academic honor roll…swam for Peddie Aquatics Club Team.

PERSONAL
Looking to study medicine and his career objective is to be a Chiropractor…son of Vivita Fortels.
