Rider University Athletics

2017-18
- Named to the MAAC All-Academic Team.
- Came in 16th in the 100 fly at the ECAC Championships.
- Came in eighth in the 200 fly at the MAAC Championships.
- Came in second in the 500 free in a dual meet with Monmouth.

2016-17
- Recorded a pair of top-six finishes at the MAAC Championships as Rider captured its sixth straight team title.
- Came in sixth in the 100 fly and fifth in the 200 fly. His fastest time of the year in the 100 fly came at the event.
- Competed at the ECAC Championships as Rider finished second overall as a team. His fastest time of the year in the 200 fly came in the event.
- Named to the MAAC All-Academic Team.

2015-16
- As a sophomore, won a MAAC bronze medal with a third place finish in the finals of the 100 fly (49.93) and was fifth in the finals of the 200 fly (1:51.39), helping Rider win its fifth title in a row at the 2016 MAAC Championships.
- Named to the MAAC All-Academic Team.
- Also swam a season-best 21.35 in the 50 free in the same meet.

2014-15
- As a freshman, swam his best 50 free (21.51), 100 fly (50.83) and 200 fly (1:53.64) at the 2015 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships as Rider won the team title for the fourth year in a row.

BEFORE RIDER
Attended Lacey Township High School…Four-year letterwinner earning First Team All-Shore honors in 2013 and 2014 and is the Ocean County record holder in the 100 fly…Lacey High School Senior of the Month…three-time high school MVP and also swam for the Ocean County YMCA Tiger Sharks (10 seasons) and was a three-time YMCA short course national qualifier and 200 fly team record holder.

PERSONAL
Majoring in mathematics and economics…works for the Lavallette Beach Patrol…son of Cathie Smith.
